Police Raid Shakes Porthleven: Drugs and Cash Seized in Dramatic Early Morning Bust
In a bold swoop early on Wednesday 18 February, police stormed three homes in Porthleven, leaving the town reeling. One man has been arrested on serious drug charges following the high-impact raids.
Doors Busted Down as Officers Find Drugs Stash
The Falmouth and Helston Neighbourhood Team joined forces with the Neighbourhood Support Team (NST) and Force Support Group (FSG) to carry out the simultaneous raids. Moments after smashing down doors, officers uncovered a hidden cache of drugs and cash.
Social housing providers were tipped off about the operation. With property damage caused by forced entry, tenants are now responsible for costly repairs.
Dene Tregidgo, 34, Faces Heavy Drug Charges
Dene Tregidgo, 34, from Trevisker Drive, now faces multiple serious charges. These include possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs, and involvement in supplying cocaine and cannabis.
“Tregidgo pleaded guilty at Truro Magistrates’ Court on 19 February and has been bailed ahead of sentencing in March.”
A woman in her 40s from Porthleven was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and money laundering. She’s since been released on police bail.
