Tragedy on Valentine’s Day: Lisa Smith was shot twice in the neck by her husband Edward Smith in a shocking murder at The Three Horseshoes pub car park in Knockholt. Edward later took his own life.

Beloved Mum “One in a Million”

Friends and family have flooded the memorial with flowers, balloons, and touching messages. Lisa was a “wonderful mum” to her two children, aged 21 and 10, and recently a doting grandmother.

“Our love and prayers are with your family, especially your boys and granddaughter. May they continue to know the love you always showed them. May your light continue to shine as bright as it always has.”

One mourner told reporters, “She was a beautiful woman and a wonderful mum. They had just welcomed a granddaughter. They had everything going for them. I just can’t understand what happened. They were so happy.”

Attempted Escape Ends in Horror

At the inquest, it emerged Lisa tried to flee Edward. On February 14, she told her sister she was leaving him and took a train from their Slough home to stay with family in Kent. Friends and her sister picked her up from Orpington station before heading to the pub.

Edward tracked Lisa down. A heated argument broke out in the car park before he shot her, then took his own life.

Coroner Rules Death Unlawful Killing

The coroner officially declared Lisa’s death an unlawful killing. Her devastated son Teejay paid a heartfelt tribute:

“My dear old mum, never be another to walk in her shoes, the best.”
