Medway Drug Dealers Busted and Locked Up

Two men running a thriving cocaine racket across Medway have been slammed behind bars. Frank Harris and Andrew Hamilton made serious cash distributing drugs around the towns — but their luck finally ran out.

Police Crack Down on Cocaine Empire

On 22 December 2023, cops stopped Harris’s car on Sedley Close, Gillingham. A search revealed £1,635 in cash and a phone linked to a drug line. Harris was arrested on the spot. A follow-up raid at his Rainham home uncovered another £2,310 hidden away.

Charged with cocaine supply and possession of criminal property, Harris’s drug line was smashed — but the story didn’t end there.

Harris Reboots Operation Despite Investigation

In 2024, police found a suspicious new network with eerie similarities to Harris’s old setup. Turns out, Harris had fired up the drug line again while awaiting trial. He used clever tricks to dodge cops and roped in extra runners.

Top lieutenant Andrew Hamilton played a vital role. On 11 January 2025, Hamilton was caught red-handed in New Cut, Chatham with cocaine worth £2,840 and £640 cash on him. He pleaded guilty but kept offending while on bail.

Final Takedown and Heavy Sentences

In April 2025, police raided Hamilton’s Hoo home. He tried to flee with a box of drug-dealing kit — including deal bags, gloves, pepper spray, and ammo. More cocaine was found, plus charges for drugs and possessing noxious liquid and ammunition without a certificate.

On 14 April, officers arrested Harris at his Rainham address. They found empty packaging for large cocaine blocks and a massive £25,000 in cash stashed away.

At Maidstone Crown Court, 33-year-old Harris admitted guilt and was nailed with nine years inside plus a five-year Serious Crime Prevention Order after release. Hamilton, 50, from Voisin Close, Hoo, got four years for his part.

Detective Sergeant Rob Hemsley said: “Frank Harris arrogantly set up a second drug line while still under investigation, using sophisticated tactics to avoid police detection. He recruited Andrew Hamilton and built a profitable network they both benefited from financially. Despite their efforts, we tracked both drugs and cash back to them.”

“As a force, we will relentlessly pursue those who supply drugs in Kent and bring them to justice.”
