Double-Decker Bus Goes Up in Flames in Gillingham

Kent Fire and Rescue Service scrambled to tackle a blazing double-decker bus on Dock Road, Gillingham, yesterday afternoon.

Blazing Battle: Two Fire Engines on the Scene

At 12:50pm on Wednesday, 25 February 2026, two fire engines roared to the scene. Firefighters, decked out in full breathing gear, fought the flames with high-pressure hose reel jets. The fire is believed to have started in the bus’s engine compartment.

No One Injured as Emergency Services Rush In

Luckily, no injuries were reported. Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) also attended, keeping the area safe while crews tackled the blaze in Medway.
