Armed Drama at Manchester Mosque Sparks Police Hunt
Police rushed to Manchester Central Mosque last night after two men were spotted acting suspiciously with a weapon. The tense incident unfolded at around 8.40pm on Tuesday, 24 February 2026, inside the mosque on Upper Park Road.
Rapid Arrest as Mosque Worshippers Shocked
Officers quickly swooped and arrested a man in his 40s on suspicion of carrying an offensive weapon and possessing a class B drug. He remains in custody while police hunt the second suspect, who is still at large.
