Two Men Jailed Over Notorious ‘Charlie’ Drug Line
Two men have been locked up after running the infamous ‘Charlie’ drugs ring, Sussex Police confirmed today.
How Police Broke the ‘Charlie’ Line
The crackdown began in May 2025 when police intercepted mobile phone intel pointing to suspicious drug activity. Investigators quickly traced the operation back to 23-year-old Charlie Harris from Crawley, who masterminded the ring.
Ross Sandwell, 42, from Saltdean, Brighton, was also arrested for holding the mobile phone used to coordinate the drug deals.
Raids Yield Phones, Drugs, and Cash
On 14 May 2025, Sussex Police joined forces with the Met to raid homes in Brighton and Crawley. Officers seized numerous mobile phones, SIM cards, cannabis, and cash linked to the drug line.
