Victim Dies at Scene in Horrific Attack
A brutal stabbing in Walthamstow ended in tragedy on Friday night. Police were called to Westbury Road at 8:59pm after reports of a man being stabbed. Emergency crews found a man in his 60s with deadly stab wounds to the chest. Despite frantic efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers are currently informing his family.
Four Men Arrested – One Charged
- Four suspects were detained – two in their 20s and two in their 50s – all held on suspicion of murder.
- Eugeniu Neamtu, 58, from Westbury Road, has been formally charged with murder.
- The other three men have since been released without charge.
Police Hunt for Witnesses
The Met’s Specialist Crime Command is spearheading the probe. Detectives are pleading with anyone who witnessed the stabbing or has any information to come forward and help crack the case.
