A Portsmouth mother and her young daughter have been killed in a devastating crash on the A3 just after the Hindhead Tunnel. The tragedy struck during half term on Thursday morning, leaving the local community reeling.

The victims, a 43-year-old woman and her seven-year-old girl, were driving a red Ford Fiesta southbound when their car veered off the road. Emergency crews arrived at around 10am, but both were sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
“We thank motorists for their patience while the A3 southbound was closed for hours. We want to speak to anyone who saw the crash or has dash cam footage,” a police spokesperson said.
