Sheffield Man Jailed for 23 Years After Brutal Market Street Stabbing

A 22-year-old from Sheffield has been locked up for 23 years after a savage knife attack left a man fighting for his life in Hoyland.

On 14 March 2025, chaos erupted on Market Street when Lewis Parker plunged a knife into a man’s neck during a violent brawl. CCTV footage showed Parker striking the victim before fleeing the scene.

Police quickly used the footage and witness reports to track down Parker. He was arrested and hit with multiple charges, including attempted murder.

Judge Hands Down Severe Sentence

At Sheffield Crown Court, Parker admitted to carrying an offensive weapon and possession of Class B and C drugs. On 3 November, he was found guilty of attempted murder and sentenced to 23 years behind bars.
