Brutal Gillingham Attack: Thug Sent Down for Six Years
A vicious random assault in Gillingham has landed Levi Silcott behind bars for six years. The thug struck on 23 April 2025, viciously attacking a woman walking along Seaview Road.
Woman Dragged, Beaten & Left with Shattered Face
Silcott dragged the terrified woman into a nearby alley and pummeled her face with repeated punches. She suffered multiple fractures and has needed extensive medical and reconstructive surgery. The victim had never met Silcott before the horrific attack.
CCTV and Police Hunt Snare Savage Attacker
Officers painstakingly scoured CCTV footage, spotting a man in Silcott’s clothing stepping from a nearby car. They followed the vehicle’s trail and quickly identified 26-year-old Silcott from Simmons Drive, Dagenham.
He was arrested on 21 May in Ilford and charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent. Silcott denied the attack but was convicted after trial at Maidstone Crown Court, where he was sentenced on 18 February.
Detective Condemns ‘Despicable’ Denial
“Silcott’s violent actions were unprovoked and horrific, leaving an innocent woman with serious injuries and trauma,” said Detective Constable Emma Laimbeer.
