Greater Manchester Police have smashed a major Class A drugs ring, swooping on 23 suspects tied to an organised crime gang flooding the region with deadly drugs.

At dawn, a huge force of 258 officers—armed units and tactical teams included—carried out 22 raids across Manchester, Salford, Rochdale, Tameside, Bury, Wigan, Bolton, plus Merseyside and South Wales.
