Thames Valley Police are urgently hunting witnesses after a bizarre road collision left an elderly man badly hurt in Henley.

Bizarre Crash Drama Unfolds on Gravel Hill

The incident happened just before noon on Sunday, 15 February 2026. A kind driver spotted an elderly man in his 80s on Gravel Hill and gave him a lift to Kings Road car park.

But tragedy struck moments later. As the man got out and walked behind the car while the driver was parking, the vehicle accidentally hit him, knocking him to the ground.

Police are desperate for witnesses. “If you saw the crash or were nearby, please come forward,” an officer pleaded. “Dashcam footage could hold vital clues about what happened or what caused the collision.”
