Brutal Brighton Rape Sees Monster Locked Up
Darrell Moore, 34, has been slammed with a hefty prison sentence after brutally raping a woman he met on a night out in Brighton. The chilling attack happened after Moore and a mate met two women and headed back to one of their homes. While his friend left the room, Moore was left alone with the victim – and that’s when the horror unfolded.
Moore Denies Charges – Jury Sees Through the Lies
Moore pleaded not guilty to two counts of rape and two of sexual assault, but the jury didn’t buy it. After a tense trial in October, they returned a unanimous guilty verdict. His barrister tried to claim Moore’s “sensory processing disorder” affected his social skills. The judge wasn’t having it, blasting Moore: “He had no excuse, no mitigation whatsoever and showed no remorse.”

At 30, Moore was no stranger to trouble, boasting a long rap sheet including drug dealing and taser possession. But the darkest secret came to light during the trial – Moore was already serving time for raping a 12-year-old girl in London last year. That sickening sentence was four years and eight months.

After release, he’ll face strict supervision for the remainder of his licence period.
