A late-teen boy was rushed to hospital after a motorbike smashed into a car on Kings Road, Reading, causing chaos and shutting down a key route near a local college.

Crash Blocks Busy Route Near College

The crash brought Kings Road to a standstill, disrupting access to the college car park during rush hour. The road remained closed for several hours but finally reopened around 4:30 pm, easing gridlock.

College Clear: No Students Involved

Michelle Parks, director of the college and university centre group, confirmed: “The incident did not involve anyone who attends the college.” Thankfully, no students were caught up in the collision.

Police Launch Appeal for Witnesses

Thames Valley Police are keen to hear from anyone who saw the crash or has footage. A spokesperson said: “If anyone has any witness information or mobile phone footage, please call 101 or report it via our website, quoting reference 1098 dated 12 February.”
