Blazing Garage Inferno Sparks Smoke Alert in Sheffield
Firefighters rushed to a massive garage fire at an industrial site on Woodside Lane, Pitsmoor, Sheffield, shortly after midnight.
Vehicle Fire Erupts, Thick Smoke Chokes Area
Several vehicles inside the garage went up in flames, sending thick smoke billowing over the neighbourhood. Locals were urged to keep windows and doors shut until the hazardous smoke cleared.
Sheffield Fire Crews Mobilise in Force
South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue praised the rapid response from multiple teams. They said, “Well done to firefighters, officers and Control for their response to last night’s fire at a garage on an industrial site in Pitsmoor, Sheffield.”
Crews from Central, Rivelin, Elm Lane, Parkway, Birley Moor, Aston Park, Lowedges, plus the Breathing Apparatus Support Unit and on-call teams all sprang into action to battle the blaze.
