Man Charged Over Brutal Dover Murder
Kent Police have arrested and charged a man following a savage killing in Dover.
Fatal Attack Rocks Eythorne Neighbourhood
Officers rushed to a home on Rose Gardens, Eythorne, late Thursday, 29 January 2026, after reports of a violent assault.
Paramedics confirmed a man in his 20s was dead at the scene. His family have been informed.
68-Year-Old Stephen Boyd Rooke Held for Murder
Stephen Boyd Rooke, 68, also from Rose Gardens, was arrested at the property. The following day, Friday 30 January, he was formally charged with murder and remanded in custody.
Rooke is due to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 31 January.
