Heartbreaking: Devoted Mum Dies in A55 Tunnel Crash
Jennifer Anne Brown, a beloved mum in her 40s, tragically lost her life in a horrific smash inside the A55 tunnel. Her car collided head-on with a lorry, leaving three others seriously injured. Emergency crews, including multiple air ambulances, rushed to the scene, but Jenny was sadly pronounced dead on impact. Her family members remain in critical condition in hospital.
Family’s Devastation and Fundraising Plea
Jenny’s family have expressed their sorrow, remembering her as a “precious young girl’s beloved mum.” They’ve started a GoFundMe to support her 20-year-old daughter, Keisha, who now faces a difficult future without her mum and is being cared for by close family friends.
“Yesterday, our community was shattered by a horrific car accident that has left a precious young girl Keisha aged 20 suddenly without her beloved mum. To make this tragedy even more unbearable, the rest of her family members are fighting for their lives in critical care at the hospital. She is currently being looked after by close family friends, but the road ahead is filled with overwhelming challenges.”
‘Queen’ of Glan Rhos Nursing Home Remembered
Jenny worked for over two decades at Glan Rhos Nursing Home in Newport, where she was known and loved as the “Queen” of the staff. Colleagues recall her starting as a shy 17-year-old who blossomed into a warm, caring nurse.
“She touched countless lives and always greeted everyone with a smile that could light up any room,” said one staff member. “Jenny was deeply proud of her family – a devoted mum and grandmother.”
Her sudden death has left staff, patients, and families devastated.
