Swindon Smash-and-Grab Thief Nabbed After Midnight Spree

Wiltshire Police have arrested a man following a brazen break-in spree in Swindon’s town centre. The thief struck just past midnight, targeting two local businesses in quick succession.

Midnight Mayhem at Momo King

Shortly after midnight on January 29, the trouble kicked off at Momo King on Havelock Street. The culprit smashed through the door, grabbed bottles of alcohol, then brazenly returned to snatch the cash till loaded with a large amount of money.

£2,000 Loot Taken from Redline Racing

Minutes later, Redline Racing in Theatre Square suffered a similar fate. The door was smashed again, and around £2,000 worth of stock was stolen during the second smash-and-grab.

Suspect Held and Questioned

Wiltshire Police moved quickly to arrest a man in his 40s, suspected of committing three burglaries across the night. He remains in custody at Gablecross police station as investigations continue.
