Mrs Roberts’ daughter, Jessica Richards, paid a touching tribute to her mother. She called her an “amazing person” loved by all and praised her dedication to preserving the timber-framed historic building that the fire destroyed.

“My mother Rose Roberts saved these buildings. She was lost in the fire. It is just so shocking. She was an amazing person, loved by so many. She was my everything,” said Ms Richards.
