Shock as 80-Year-Old Man Tries to Rob 95-Year-Old Woman in Little Hulton
Terrifying Home Invasion in Salford
An 80-year-old man has been arrested after a chilling attempted robbery of a 95-year-old woman in Little Hulton, Salford. The suspect casually asked about bin collection before barging into the elderly lady’s home. He then tied her hands and demanded cash and her purse.
The nightmare only ended when another woman, who knew the victim, showed up. The thug grabbed her briefly before fleeing the scene.
Miraculously, no one was hurt. Police are now supporting the traumatised victim.
Quick Police Action Leads to Arrest

He remains in custody.
“When this report came in to us yesterday, we were shocked by the very nature of it, and immediately utilised all resources available as part of our investigation,” said Detective Inspector Paul Davies of GMP’s Salford district.
“I am glad that we now have someone arrested in connection with this incident and enquiries remain ongoing. I would ask the community not to speculate to allow the criminal justice process to run its proper course.”
Police confirm this was an isolated incident with no wider threat to the community.
