Stalker Bombards Woman with 200+ Calls and Visits – Victim Left Terrified
Steffon Wood, 37, relentlessly harassed a woman, leaving her scared for her life.
Relentless Harassment Sparks Fear and Police Action
Between January 15 and 19, Wood targeted a woman in her 30s with over 200 phone calls, abusive messages, and repeated home visits. His shocking behaviour blatantly violated bail conditions and a Domestic Violence Protective Order (DVPO).
On January 23, Wood appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court. He admitted stalking and causing the victim to fear violence. He was immediately remanded in custody ahead of sentencing on February 12.
Police Praise Relentless Team Effort Behind Arrest
The arrest came thanks to the hard work of Swindon’s Volume Crime Team and Response Unit.
“Wood showed absolutely no remorse, repeatedly breaching bail conditions and harassing the victim,” said Trainee Detective Constable Murat.
“He left her terrified by banging on her windows and doors. The court’s decision to keep him in custody shows how seriously stalking is treated and protects the victim’s safety.”
