Nathan Tokosi jailed for life after chilling Notting Hill drive-by shooting

Cold-Blooded Attack Sparks Life Sentence

Nathan Tokosi, 25, from Lewisham, has been locked up for life over a brutal drive-by shooting in Notting Hill that sent shockwaves through the community. On Tuesday, 27 January, the Old Bailey handed down a life sentence with a minimum of 24 years before parole.

Tokosi was found guilty of attempting to murder a 27-year-old man in a violent attack on 18 March 2025. He also admitted to two counts of firearm possession and two counts of ammunition possession with intent to endanger life.

Police Forensics Pin Tokosi to Crime

  • Tokosi’s DNA was discovered inside the stolen abandoned car used in the shooting.
  • Police found a handgun and ammo near the getaway vehicle.
  • A separate firearm and ammunition were seized at Tokosi’s home during a raid.

Detective Inspector Chris Shepherd said, “Tokosi’s actions were premeditated, reckless and malicious. He lied throughout the trial, denying any involvement.”

He added, “This conviction sends a strong message against gang violence on London’s streets. Credit to the investigation team and the officers and medics who saved the victim’s life.”

Terrifying Notting Hill Shooting at 2am

The shocking attack unfolded around 2am on Monday, 20 November 2023, on Clydesdale Road. Police revealed a car pulled alongside another, with a passenger opening fire multiple times.

The gravely injured victim was found at home and rushed to hospital, fighting for his life before making a full recovery.

Tokosi was arrested on 16 February 2024 after a traffic stop in Lewisham. The subsequent police search at his home uncovered more weapons and ammo.

Charged with attempted murder and firearm offences, Tokosi’s conviction brings an end to a violent spree terrorising London streets.
