An Ellesmere Port man has been slammed with a hefty jail sentence for running a crack cocaine racket across the town.
Mason Mallon Busted for Drug Dealing
Mason Mallon, 23, from Wellington Close, Ellesmere Port, was locked up for five years and seven months at Chester Crown Court on 5 January. He pleaded guilty to supplying crack cocaine and possessing cannabis.
Police Crackdown After Bombardment of Drug Messages
In late 2025, police traced a phone spamming Ellesmere Port with flare messages offering Class A drugs from multiple spots. A raid on Mallon’s home on 4 December uncovered two mobile phones—one linked to the drug messages—along with cash, crack cocaine, and cannabis.
Mallon stayed silent during interviews but admitted to having cannabis. He was swiftly arrested and charged.
Officers Praise Community for Snitching
PC Adam Critchley, Ellesmere Port CID, said: “Mallon had no choice but to plead guilty given the mountain of evidence against him. This conviction removes a major player from our streets.”
“We’re committed to taking down dealers like Mallon, but we need local residents to come forward. If you see drug dealing in your area, contact us and we’ll handle it.”
Thanks to determined policing and community tips, Ellesmere Port just got a whole lot safer.
