Ex-doctor Nathaniel John Spencer, 38, has been hit with a devastating 45 sexual offence charges involving both kids and adults. The court appearance marks the latest twist in a shocking case that has rocked two major hospitals.
Gruesome Charges Laid Bare
Staffordshire Police have revealed a chilling list of accusations against Spencer:
- 15 counts of sexual assault
- 17 counts of assault by penetration
- 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13
- 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration
- 1 count of attempted assault by penetration
In total, 22 victims were children and 16 were adults when the alleged offences took place.
Police Probe Hits Two Hospitals
The jaw-dropping charges follow an extensive investigation by the Public Protection Unit. The probe targeted alleged crimes at Royal Stoke University Hospital, Stoke-on-Trent, and Russells Hall Hospital, Dudley.
Next Hearing Looms
Spencer faced the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Tuesday, 20 January. He’s now set to appear at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 20 February to answer the serious allegations.
