Tragic Crash in Grimsargh Kills 19-Year-Old
A devastating smash on Preston Road in Grimsargh has claimed the life of a 19-year-old man. The fatal collision unfolded early Sunday morning, triggering road closures and a police probe.
Green MG TF Collides with Black Audi Q7
At 9:55am, Lancashire Police rushed to the scene after reports of a crash involving a green MG TF and a black Audi Q7. Despite frantic efforts by emergency crews, the young MG driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Audi, driven by a woman in her 40s, sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital. Authorities currently consider her a witness, not a suspect.
Preston Road Shut for Hours During Investigation
Preston Road was closed for most of the day as officers conducted their inquiries. The road has since reopened, but the investigation is ongoing.
“Our thoughts are with his family. Specialist officers are supporting them during this difficult time,” a police spokesperson said.
Police Hunt Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Detectives are appealing for anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage of Preston Road between 9:45am and 10am to come forward. Witnesses who saw the moments before or after the crash are urged to contact Lancashire Police.
