From Surrey to Cornwall: A Bizarre Disappearance

Police are frantically searching for 51-year-old Sheherazade Van Der Zijden, who disappeared without a trace after travelling from Surrey to Cornwall. She was last spotted at her Surrey home on Thursday, 15th January 2026.

The very next day, Sheherazade boarded a train in berkshire999.co.uk/where/london/" title="London" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">London bound for Cornwall. On 16th January, she caught a First Cornwall Bus at Hayle Viaduct at 12:37pm, reaching North Cliffs near Hayle by 1:05pm. From there, she vanished.

Belongings Found by Cliff Edge, But No Sign of Sheherazade

Her personal items were later found close to a cliff edge near North Cliffs, sparking fears for her safety. Despite extensive searches, there has been no sign of Sheherazade since.

Police Plea: Help Find Sheherazade

Devon and Cornwall Police are urgently appealing to the public for any information on her whereabouts. They describe the situation as highly concerning.
