A Swansea man has been slammed with a six-year jail term after a sick spree of stalking and savage assaults on his ex-girlfriend.
Brutal Assault Sparks Horror
20-year-old Saman Ismail from Sandfields went on a violent rampage after snooping through his ex’s phone messages. The terrifying attack saw him slap her, repeatedly headbutt her, yank her hair, drench her in water, and kick her square in the chest.
The woman was left with a nasty black eye and bruises all over her face and body.
Obsessive Stalking Turns Into Harassment Hell
Ismail’s terror didn’t stop at physical abuse. He hounded his victim every step of the way—following her around, turning up at her workplace, bombarding her with endless calls, and even creating fake social media profiles to contact her.
Guilty Verdict After Defiant Denial
The brute pleaded not guilty in January last year to assault causing actual bodily harm and stalking causing serious alarm. But the jury saw through his lies and found him guilty of both charges in October.
He was also convicted of a Section 18 wounding with intent charge after attacking a man he wrongly suspected was dating his ex on Wind Street in September 2024.
Ismail now faces six years behind bars in a young offenders institution for his violent crime spree. Justice served.
