Manchester Man Jailed for Horrific Rape and Threats in Park Attack
Usama Al-Sari, 25, from Moorton Avenue, Manchester, has been slammed with a 14-year prison sentence. He will serve an extra eight years on licence after pleading guilty to a disturbing list of offences including rape, sexual assault, threatening to kill, possession of an imitation firearm intended to cause fear, and possession of a class B drug.
Al-Sari has also been hit with an indefinite restraining order and a Sexual Harm Prevention Order to keep him away from the victim and the public.
Horrific Attack at Heaton Mersey Park
The vile crime unfolded on 9 September 2025 in Heaton Mersey Park, Stockport. Police rushed to the scene after a woman reported she had been raped.
“The victim told officers Al-Sari forced her to come with him, threatening her with what looked like a firearm,” a police source revealed.
Al-Sari used the imitation gun to coerce the woman before carrying out the attack. Miraculously, she managed to escape and sought help from passersby.
Thanks to quick-thinking bystanders who supported the victim and alerted the police, officers arrested Al-Sari within the hour. Thankfully, the weapon was later confirmed as a fake.
