Brave Bystander Attacked While Breaking Up Row

On the night of 14 November 2025, a hero in his fifties tried to stop a fight on Bell Street, Henley-on-Thames. Instead of calm, he was met with violence. He suffered a nasty black eye and a finger injury after being struck.

Police Release CCTV of Key Witness

Thames Valley Police have now released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to, believing he holds crucial information about the assault.

“This incident happened after a man bravely intervened in a dispute, only to be assaulted himself,” said PC Selkirk. “We’re releasing an image of a man who we believe holds vital information for our investigation. If you recognise him or are this person, please contact Thames Valley Police.”
