Bolton Horror Crash Kills Four in Deadly Wigan Road Smash

Tragedy tore through Bolton in the early hours of Sunday, January 11, 2025. A red Seat Leon violently crashed into a Citroen C4 Picasso on Wigan Road. The horror collision claimed four lives, leaving families and the local community shattered.

Four Victims Named in Fatal Smash

  • Masrob Ali, 54
  • Mohammed Jibrael Mukhtar, 18
  • Farhan Patel, 18
  • Mohammed Danyaal, 19

Three men died inside the Seat Leon – the driver plus two passengers. The Citroen’s driver also lost their life. Families of the victims have been offered support from specially trained officers to help them cope with the devastating blow.

Five Others Hospitalised – One Woman in Critical Condition

Five people remain in hospital following the smash. The Citroen carried a 29-year-old woman with potentially life-threatening injuries. Two more passengers—a 28-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man—are seriously hurt, while a 29-year-old man suffered minor injuries. The Seat had an 18-year-old passenger in hospital with minor injuries.

Police Urge Witnesses to Step Forward

“We are still in the early stages of our investigation and are urging anyone who saw the vehicles before or during the crash to come forward,” said Detective Inspector Andrew Page of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.

“Sharing such footage could cause further distress to families and may even be a criminal offence,” he warned, pleading with the public to respect the victims and their loved ones.

Emergency services, including Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue and North West Ambulance Service, braved tough conditions to reach the scene quickly.
