Young Girl Stabbed in Christchurch Flats
A young girl, believed to be around eight years old, was rushed to hospital after being stabbed in a block of flats in Christchurch. Dorset Police were called to Glider Close at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20.
Thankfully, her injuries are not life-threatening, and she is currently in police custody for her safety.
Massive Emergency Response and Investigation Underway
Local residents reported a big emergency response, with officers canvassing the area and crime scene investigators combing through the scene. Police have increased their presence to support ongoing enquiries.
Chief Superintendent Stewart Dipple said: “There is an increased policing presence in the area as officers conduct enquiries at the scene. I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and saw what happened, or has information to assist our investigation, to please come forward.”

Dorset Police urged the public not to speculate on the incident as the investigation is still in its early stages. They stressed the importance of accurate information coming from eyewitnesses.
