Stagecoach Rolls Out Free Travel for Military and Cadets on Remembrance Days

Stagecoach is honouring the armed forces with free travel on Armistice Day (11th November) and Remembrance Sunday (13th November). The popular transport operator has now extended the offer to include cadets in uniform, alongside veterans and serving military personnel.

Free Rides Across the UK

Anyone in military or cadet uniforms can hop on any Stagecoach bus or tram service nationwide for free on these two key remembrance dates. It’s a fitting gesture for those attending memorial services to pay their respects.

Stagecoach’s Deep Armed Forces Commitment

  • Member of the Armed Forces Covenant since 2015
  • Hosts an employee-led Veterans Network supporting serving and ex-service staff
  • Traditionally backs the Poppy Appeal with dedicated Poppy Buses and special bus displays
  • Drivers may pause journeys to observe the two-minute silence, where safe to do so

Simon Tramalloni, co-lead of the Veterans Network and a former serviceman with deployments in Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Kosovo, Africa, and the Middle East, said:

“I’m proud we can now offer free travel to military cadets and celebrate a second year of support for our armed forces. Stagecoach has thousands of ex-service staff and is committed to helping veterans both inside and outside the company.”

Stagecoach hopes this ongoing support will encourage more people to attend remembrance events, uniting communities in tribute to those who serve.
