Daylight Lorry Hijack on M1: Thieves Make Off with £Millions in Apple Gear
A terrifying lorry hijacking erupted on the southbound slip road at Junction 18 of the M1 between 7.45pm and 8pm on Tuesday, November 10. Masked gangsters overpowered the lorry driver and security guard, tying them up before stealing a huge haul of Apple products.
Criminals Strike in Broad Daylight at Crick
The gang forced the lorry towards Eldon Close, Crick, where they swapped the trailer onto a waiting truck. Then they sped off, leaving the bound driver and security guard behind.
Stolen Apple Loot Spotted in Leicestershire
The stolen truck was later found in Lutterworth, Leicestershire. Police believe the criminals transferred 48 pallets of costly Apple kit into a third vehicle and vanished without a trace.
Police Urge Witnesses and Dashcam Owners to Speak Up
Northamptonshire Police want anyone who saw suspicious vehicles near Junction 18 on the M1 or caught anything on dashcam to come forward. They’re also hunting anyone offered unusually cheap Apple products or who suspects dodgy sales of such goods.
