Fifty Firefighters Battle Huge Grass Blaze in The New Forest
Hampshire Fire and Rescue scrambled eight fire engines and a command unit to tackle a massive grass fire in The New Forest in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Wildfire Rips Through Gorse and Undergrowth
The blaze broke out on Rollestone Road in Holbury, quickly spreading across a vast area of gorse bushes and scrubland. Fire crews from Hardley, Beaulieu, Hythe, Eastleigh, and other nearby stations rushed to the scene to contain the inferno.
Area the Size of 50 Football Pitches Destroyed
Hampshire Fire and Rescue said the fire scorched land roughly equivalent to 50 football pitches. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and no homes were damaged during the dramatic night blaze.
Cause of Fire Unknown as Crews Bring It Under Control
