Downham’s Way was sealed off by police around 2pm today after reports of a man armed with a crossbow barricaded inside a house. Officers stormed the property at 3.45pm but the suspect had already made a swift escape.

Police revealed the crossbow man threatened a teenage boy just before 1.30pm. After a thorough search, officers confirmed the suspect fled the scene and is now on the run.
