Man Found with Life-Threatening Stab Wounds in Middlesbrough
A major police probe is underway after a man was discovered seriously stabbed in Middlesbrough. The 51-year-old victim suffered life-threatening wounds and is now fighting for his life.
Stabbing Took Place Inside Property, Not Park
At around 2.40pm on Wednesday, April 30, Cleveland Police were called after reports that a man was seen walking injured on Linthorpe Road. Early reports suggested the stabbing happened near the fountain in Albert Park, but police now say the attack actually happened inside a property.
Victim in Critical Condition, Suspect Arrested
The victim was treated at the scene before being rushed to James Cook University Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
A 48-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He is currently in police custody and being questioned.
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: “At approximately 2.40pm on Wednesday, April 30, police received information that a man was walking injured on Linthorpe Road. Initial reports suggested that he had been stabbed near the Albert Park fountain; however, enquiries established the stabbing took place inside a property.”
