Murder Probe Launched After Man Found Dead in Southall Home
Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was found dead at a house on Samara Drive, Southall.
Body Discovered at Southall Property
Emergency services rushed to the scene at 10:56am on Wednesday, 23 April, after the London Ambulance Service raised concerns for a man’s welfare. Officers discovered a man believed to be in his 60s, who was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Man Arrested on Suspicion of Murder
The Metropolitan Police have confirmed the death is being treated as suspicious. A 54-year-old Southall man was arrested on suspicion of murder and preventing a lawful burial. He remains in police custody while inquiries continue.
Investigation Underway
Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command is leading the probe. He said:
“We are in the very early stages of our investigation, and my team of experienced detectives and forensic specialists are working quickly to establish the circumstances of this death.”
“I understand this may be worrying for the Southall community. Residents can expect increased police presence as we carry out our enquiries.”
Police are working to identify the deceased and notify his family.
