Firefighters Battle Fierce Industrial Blaze

An industrial fire broke out in Eythorne, Dover on Monday evening, sparking a rapid response from Kent Fire and Rescue Service. The alarm was raised at 6:33pm, with three fire engines rushing to the scene.

Brave crews fought the flames using a powerful main jet hose, bringing the fire under control and fully extinguishing it by 8:05pm.

No Injuries but Investigation Underway

A spokesperson for Kent Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the incident:

“Crews attended an industrial fire in Eythorne, Dover, using a main-jet hose to put out the fire. No injuries have been reported, and the cause of the fire remains unknown at this time.”

Thankfully, nobody was injured. Firefighters stayed on site to secure the area and keep watch for any flare-ups. Authorities are probing the cause but have yet to confirm if the fire was accidental or deliberate.

The fire caused temporary road closures around Eythorne to give emergency teams clear access. Locals expressed relief that no harm came to anyone. One eyewitness shared on social media:

“Saw the smoke from quite a distance—glad to hear no one was injured.”
