Man, 42, Charged with Murder of Charlie Prodromou in Lewisham
Court Drama Unfolds
Paul Tallant, 42, from Eltham, faced Bromley Magistrates’ Court today charged with the murder of 63-year-old Charlie Prodromou. The court heard how Tallant was remanded in custody and is set to appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, March 5.
Fatal Assault on Lewisham High Street
The shocking attack unfolded on Saturday, March 1, at around 8:39 PM in Lewisham High Street. Police and paramedics rushed to the scene following reports of an assault. Victim Charlie Prodromou was found with life-threatening injuries and was quickly taken to hospital. Sadly, he later died from his wounds.
The assault is believed to have stemmed from a disturbance at The Watch House pub nearby.
Arrest Made – Investigation Ongoing
Shortly after the attack, police arrested a 42-year-old man close to the scene on suspicion of murder. The Met’s Specialist Crime Command are leading the probe. The accused was formally charged today in court.
