West Kensington Shooting: Police Identify Victim as 21-Year-Old Janayo Lucima
Police believe the man shot dead in West Kensington is 21-year-old Janayo Lucima. His family has been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Gunshot Horror on Comeragh Road
Officers were called just before 10:20pm on Monday, April 1, following reports of a disturbance at a home on Comeragh Road, W14. London Ambulance Service attended and found a 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound.
Despite medics’ efforts, the man—thought to be Janayo—was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:54pm. A post-mortem is scheduled for April 3.
No Arrests Yet as Investigation Continues
The police have launched a full investigation. Roads near the crime scene have reopened, but the area remains under close watch. So far, no arrests have been made.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie said: “This horrific incident happened at a busy time when many would have been around Comeragh, Barton, or Palliser Road. I want to hear from anyone who was there.”
“Were you in the area between 9:40pm and 10:30pm? Did you see groups of males, hear shouting, or spot any suspicious behaviour? Dashcam footage could be crucial.”
“Please approach officers on patrol or contact us via 101, online, or through your neighbourhood policing team.”
