Hate Crime Horror on Lancashire Train: Police Seek Suspect

Detectives in Lancashire have released CCTV images after a shocking antisemitic attack on a train between Chorley and Preston. The victim, a woman, faced vile hate and threats from one of two men onboard.

The ugly episode happened on Tuesday, 19 December, around 11:30am. At first, one man paused a phone call when he saw the victim looking at him. But moments later, he unleashed a torrent of abusive antisemitic threats and offensive language at her.

The train arrived at Preston about five minutes later, where the woman and the two suspects all got off.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and Information

British Transport Police have now released a CCTV image of one man they believe could hold vital clues. They’re urging anyone who recognises him to step forward.

“We need anyone with information to come forward and assist with our ongoing investigation,” said police.
