Hit-and-Run Shocker in Nottingham
A woman was hit by a car while crossing King Edward’s Street towards Lower Parliament Street at around 6.05pm on 16 March 2023. The dark-coloured vehicle didn’t stop and sped off towards Glasshouse Street.
Passers-By Rush to Help Injured Pedestrian
Good Samaritans came to the woman’s aid immediately. Thankfully, she is not believed to have suffered serious or life-threatening injuries.
Police Hunt Driver and Witnesses
Officers have combed the area and reviewed CCTV footage as part of their investigation. They urge anyone who saw the crash or has dash-cam footage to get in touch.
Police Constable Aaron Harthill-Harrison said: “Thankfully the pedestrian was not seriously injured but for the motorist to not stop at the scene is completely unacceptable. This is a busy intersection with many witnesses, so we need anyone with information to come forward.”
