Tragic Crash in Tenterden Road: Elderly Pedestrian Killed
At 12.11pm on Sunday 18 September 2022, disaster struck near Woodlands Park on Tenterden Road. A man in his 70s had just got off a bus when he tried to cross the road. That’s when a motorcyclist on a black Honda CBR 1100 smashed into him.

Emergency teams rushed to the scene, but the elderly pedestrian was pronounced dead. The motorcyclist and his female passenger, both in their 20s, suffered serious injuries and were rushed to hospital.
Police Launch Serious Collision Investigation
The Kent Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is now probing the crash. They’re appealing to anyone who saw what happened or has dashcam footage to come forward.
