Drug Dealers Nabbed in Graveyard Sting
Two drug dealers were caught red-handed in Rugby’s Clifton Road graveyard during a proactive police patrol last April. Plainclothed detectives spotted Shamarke Albert-Jordan and Angela Coles making a deal before swooping in to arrest them.
Followed Suspect to Drug Den
Officers tailed Coles back to a house on Cambridge Street. Rugby Borough Council officers joined the raid, where they found both suspects and seized 81 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin, along with cash and mobile phones.
Prison Sentences for Dealers
- Shamarke Albert-Jordan, 18, from Bromley, Kent, was sentenced to three years for possession with intent to supply drugs, acquiring criminal property, and involvement in heroin and cocaine supply.
- Angela Coles, 32, of Cambridge Street, Rugby, received a three-year prison term last month after pleading guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply controlled substances.
Police Vow to Crack Down on Drug Crime
“Drug dealers continue to operate in our communities, often brazen in their activities and believing they are beyond the reach of the law,” said Detective Constable Rebecca Naughton of Rugby Proactive CID.
“We will keep working tirelessly to disrupt their activities, investigate crimes, and bring offenders to justice. The continued success of our proactive approach to tackling drug dealing in Rugby should reassure the community.”
