Man Unconscious After Brutal Assault in Oldham Town Centre
Violent Attack Shocks Night Owls
Police were called to Waterloo Street in Oldham at 3:05 a.m. on Sunday, June 5, after ambulance crews reported a serious assault. A man in his twenties was found unconscious outside a local business, suffering head injuries.
Victim Rushed to Hospital, Condition Stable
The victim was rushed to hospital where he remains in a stable condition. Officers believe the attack happened in the chaotic aftermath of a night out, with a large crowd nearby.
Police Hunt for Witnesses and Dash Cam Footage
Detective Constable Nicole Kelly of GMP’s Oldham district said:
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish what happened in the minutes before this assault and identify all involved. We spoke to some of the crowd and are reviewing CCTV footage from the town centre. But we need your help.”
She urged taxi drivers and designated drivers who might have captured key moments on dash cams to come forward.
