Britain’s Most Wanted Fugitives Hunted in Spain
The National Crime Agency (NCA) has launched a fresh Most Wanted campaign targeting British criminals hiding out in Spain. The men are wanted for serious crimes including murder, drugs trafficking, and firearms offences.
Spain: No Safe Haven for UK Fugitives
The high-profile campaign is a joint effort between the NCA, CrimeStoppers, Spanish police, and UK law enforcement. It follows the hugely successful Operation Captura, which nabbed 86 fugitives.
Steve Rodhouse, NCA’s Director General of Operations, said at the Madrid launch: “Spain is not a safe haven. We work daily with Spanish law enforcement to protect the public. These criminals know we’re never far behind them.”
He added: “Many of these fugitives hide within British communities in Spain. We urge locals to come forward if they recognise anyone.”
Notorious Fugitives on the Radar
- Nana Oppong, 41 – Wanted for a drive-by murder in Essex where Robert Powell, 50, was shot eight times in 2020.
