Armed Robbery Shakes Durrington Garage at Midnight
Cops rushed to a garage on New Road, Durrington, after reports of a terrifying armed robbery at around midnight on Tuesday (December 14).
Staff Threatened at Gunpoint
A man brandishing a firearm forced two staff members to unlock the store, which had just been secured for the night.
The suspect made off with cash from the till, a haul of tobacco and cigarettes, and personal items stolen from the workers. One victim suffered minor hand injuries during the ordeal.
Suspects Nabbed in Nearby Home
Police traced the suspect to a nearby housing estate, arresting two local men aged 32 and 39, along with a 29-year-old woman. All three remain in custody, facing robbery charges.
Detective Inspector Pauline Lane said: “We understand the impact incidents such as these have on the community and residents can expect to see an increased police presence in the area over the next few days.
“We would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding while the investigation is ongoing.
