Teen Fatally Stabbed in Horrific Small Heath Attack
A brutal stabbing has rocked Small Heath, Coventry Road, leaving an 18-year-old dead. Just before 5.30pm today (Friday, 10 December), emergency services were scrambled after the young man was found in cardiac arrest.
Major Police Operation Underway
Armed officers flooded the scene, working fast to preserve evidence and track down the attacker. Specialist officers are now supporting the victim’s distraught family as police comb the area for clues.
Detective Superintendent Wendy Bailey said: “I’d like to thank those who gave first aid to the young man. My condolences go out to his family and friends. A major investigation is ongoing to catch the person responsible.”
Road Closures and Witness Appeal
Coventry Road is shut between Jenkins Street and Watt’s Road, with barriers expected to remain until tomorrow afternoon. Residents and commuters are urged to find alternative routes and show patience.
