Paedophile Gary Fenn Locked Up for Nine Years After Sex Assault on Girl Under 13

Exposed: Fenn’s Sick Crimes

Gary Fenn, 50, from Saxmundham, Suffolk, was slapped with a nine-year extended sentence at Hove Crown Court on November 5. He faces five years behind bars plus four years on licence after being found guilty of sexually assaulting a girl under 13. On top of that, he breached his Sex Offender Registration rules twice.

Lifetime Restrictions and Digital Ban

Fenn will remain a registered sex offender for life and has been slapped with an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order. This order severely limits his access to children and bans him from using 1 and digital communication devices.

How He Was Caught

Detective Constable Emily Turner from West Sussex Safeguarding said: “In June, Fenn, already a registered sex offender with past convictions for indecent images of children, used a dating website to meet a woman in Southwick, Sussex. Instead, he exploited the chance to sexually assault her young daughter.”

Luckily, the girl managed to escape and told her mum who immediately contacted police. Fenn was arrested swiftly, charged, and has been in custody ever since.

Judge’s Warning and Victim Praise

Judge Shani Barnes condemned Fenn’s actions, saying: “We cannot underestimate the damage caused to this child by Fenn’s opportunistic offending.”

“The bravery of this young lady in standing up against what she knew to be wrong and by supporting this prosecution has undoubtedly kept other children safe from this predatory paedophile who has previous convictions for sexual offending.” — Detective Constable Emily Turner
