Man Killed in Shocking Crash on New Kent Road
A major London road was shut for hours after a fatal collision left a man dead on Sunday evening. Emergency services rushed to New Kent Road in Southeast London just before 5pm following the horrific crash.
Three Vehicles Involved in Serious Collision
The complex scene involved three vehicles, including a mangled Smart car found near the victim’s body. Police battled to save the man, using medical gear and two AED machines at the scene. Sadly, he was pronounced dead shortly after despite desperate efforts.
Met Police Open Fatal Collision Probe
Officers from the Met Police launched a formal investigation and have questioned the Smart car driver. Police confirmed: “We were called at around 4.50pm on Sunday, 7 November, to a serious road traffic collision on New Kent Road in Southwark. Officers remain at the scene.”
The road remains closed as detectives comb through the crash site to piece together what happened.
